2022 National Truck Driver Appreciation Week

It’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, and we want to say thank you to all drivers for keeping our country moving every single day. At J.B. Hunt, we celebrate our drivers the entire month and we’re showing our appreciation by thanking drivers through various giveaways and events held across the country.

According to the American Trucking Associations, trucks move about 72.5% of the nation’s freight. Truck drivers keep this country running. It’s a simple fact, one we’ve seen play out first-hand - especially in the last few years. Without drivers, essential products wouldn’t move and life as we know it would be extremely different.

Founded by a Driver

Celebrating and encouraging our drivers is a foundation of J.B. Hunt. Mr. Hunt himself regularly dropped in to meet with drivers and listen to their stories and needs as he crisscrossed the country. As a company founded by a driver, he knew just how important drivers were.

We honor our drivers and their commitment to safety through service and safety awards like our Million Mile safe driving program and Driver of the Year award.

Delivering More

Drivers are our most visible employees at J.B. Hunt. They not only represent themselves and their own families but the legacy of what Johnnie Bryan Hunt stood for. Employing some of the best and safest drivers was a principle the company was founded and one our company still aspires to today.

Drivers are the employees that meet the customers face-to-face and provide that one-on-one interaction between company and client. They’re the ones putting in late nights and early mornings to deliver what matters most.

Thank You Drivers

We are always aware of the enormous impact the more than 20,000 J.B. Hunt drivers have on our everyday lives, and we are honored to work alongside these incredible men and women. They are people you trust to get the job done, no matter the circumstances. So, remember to thank a truck driver today and be on the lookout for Truck Driver Appreciation events throughout the month!
