Get to Know Our Employee Resource Group – ABLE

Working alongside people you trust is a part of our company’s foundations. Our people-first culture at J.B. Hunt helps drive our inclusion efforts so that every individual feels welcomed, valued, respected, safe and heard. One way our people can get involved and build community is through employee resource groups.
Our employee resource groups are voluntary, employee-led groups that support our inclusion strategy and help create a culture that aligns with our business objectives. They are open to all employees and are designed to offer our people opportunities to grow their professional network and enhance their work experience.

The goal of our ABLE (Abilities Beyond Limits and Expectations) employee resource group is to support and empower individuals with visible and invisible disabilities – as well as caregivers and advocates – while emphasizing the importance of mental well-being through a shared community.
Carl, an Engineering and Technology manager and ABLE board member, says that creating a safe space for ABLE members helps connect employees to others with shared experiences.

“It’s important for us to create a safe place for people to be themselves … and to experience the world in a way that they need to be able to experience it. ABLE gives us a community of people that can come out with shared experiences and have conversations where we can all understand that we are not alone in the different ways that we experience the world.”
- Carl, E&T manager
