Driving Enterprise Growth, Innovation and Sustainability
We spent 2025 making our business stronger, more connected and strategically positioned for future growth and sustainability. Leadership played a major role, with Brad Delco stepping into the role of Chief Financial Officer in September to reinforce our focus on long-term financial strategy and disciplined investment.
With the global supply chain continuously evolving, we worked to expand our global presence by opening an office in Querétaro, Mexico. Our new team and facility grant us closer oversight to provide excellent service offerings for our customers, support cross-border growth opportunities and expand our international freight shipping footprint.
Our expansion into Mexico wasn’t our only area of growth this year – we also made great sustainability progress. Launched in January, our new solar facility in Gentry, Ark. is projected to offset up to 80% of our main corporate campus’s power usage. Additionally, we continued working toward our goal of reducing our carbon emission intensity by 32% by 2034, driven through investments in:
- Alternative-powered equipment
- Advanced biogenic fuels and improved fuel economy
- Intermodal conversion, which has helped avoid an estimated 30 million metric tons of CO2 emissions over the last decade
Freight technology and innovation were top priorities across each of these efforts. Our teams focused on creating a smarter, more efficient supply chain by targeting improved customer experience and seamless integration. Our J.B. Hunt 360°® platform supports $2 billion in carrier freight transactions, and this year we continued improving processes to reduce our cost-to-serve and elevate customer experience, including:
- Improved API and EDI connectivity for less-than-truckload (LTL) and full-truckload (FTL) services
- A logged-out experience for obtaining LTL quotes, plus a guided workflow for easier quoting and booking
- AI-driven automation designed to streamline operations and improve transparency
Our mission to deliver long-term value for our people, customers and shareholders was central to each of these efforts in 2025, and we will continue delivering visibility, reliability and efficiency through every mile.
Delivering Operational Excellence Across Our Business Units
We focused on delivering value through operational execution, process improvements and freight technology across each of our business units this year.
Finding ways to better serve our customers’ needs was at the forefront for our J.B. Hunt Integrated Capacity Solutions team in 2025. We reorganized structurally to streamline customer experience and enhance owner-operator collaboration, and we celebrated record customer retention as a result.
J.B. Hunt Intermodal achieved a major milestone in 2025, surpassing 35 years of service in February. We spent the year continuing to work hard, streamlining efficiency and advancing sustainability across the entire supply chain. We accomplished:
- Being named Top Intermodal Provider in the Journal of Commerce’s Spring survey
- Expanding our transloading facility in Commerce, Calif., doubling dock capacity
- Launching Quantum de México: a J.B. Hunt, BNSF and GMXT service™ – a new intermodal solution connecting Mexico businesses with reliable cross-border freight delivery
Our Dedicated Contract Services® (DCS) team also saw great success this year. We continued anticipating customer needs and providing personalized customer solutions using our Customer Value Delivery® (CVD) process, completing hundreds of CVD activities worth millions in value. We also expanded tools to help customers optimize operations by:
- Calculating cost-savings and bonus automation
- Enabling bulk billing
- Forecasting trailer pools
- Modernizing universal KPIs
- Simulating private fleets
These are just a few examples of our industry-leading technologies that allowed us to automate 72,000 hours annually across our DCS team. 2025 was a big year for automation across our business units, in fact. We’ve deployed 50 AI agents to improve our processes business-wide, resulting in:
- 2 million automated quotes
- 60% of third-party carrier check calls being automated
- 73% of orders being auto-accepted
- 80% of paper invoices being paid without a manual touch
We’re advancing our freight technology with AI to help empower our people, improve operational performance and enhance our customers’ visibility and experience. This year, we automated nearly 100,000 hours across our Highway, Dedicated and Customer Experience teams – moving us one step closer to achieving our vision of creating the most efficient transportation network in North America.
Investing in Our People
Our people are a major part of our culture of excellence. This year, we invested heavily in our people and hired thousands of drivers to ensure capacity when our customers needed it most. But we didn’t stop there. We continued to focus on safety throughout 2025, emphasizing one of our company’s key values.
This was reflected in our major safety milestones for the year. 54 of our drivers earned achievements at our annual Million Mile celebration in April, with each driver celebrating two, three, four or five million safe miles. Over 5,000 drivers company-wide have now achieved at least one million safe miles.
Seven drivers celebrated especially remarkable accomplishments this year:
- Five drivers achieved four million safe miles
- One driver – the fourth in company history – achieved five million safe miles
- One driver earned the Goodyear Highway Hero Award for his courageous and selfless act of service on the road
Our technicians are committed to safety right alongside our drivers. At the Arkansas Trucking Championship in June, our technicians showcased their skills to earn numerous awards, including:
- Truck Technician Grand Champion
- Technician and Driver Sportsmanship Winner
And two of our maintenance teams also achieved major safety achievements this year:
- Our team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa surpassed one million accident-free hours
- Our team in Joppa, Md. celebrated their 18th accident-free year
The hard work, bold thinking and commitment to safety and excellence that our people hold all start with great ideas. That’s exactly what our ELEVATION program is for: fueling our growth into the future. We celebrated the program’s 10th anniversary this year, with thousands of innovative ideas submitted since 2015 to drive excellence and support our people, technology and processes.
We are extremely proud of our people and the exceptional accomplishments achieved in 2025.
Recognitions and Industry Honors
We aren’t alone in recognizing the value of our people. Teams across our business earned recognition and honors this year in areas of transportation, freight technology, operational excellence and community support. We were proud to earn more than 50 notable industry awards – the most we’ve seen in the past three years – including:
- American Legions’ Large Employer of the Year
- FreightWaves’ FreightTech 25
- Military Times’ Best for Vets
- Top 10 Military Friendly® Employer
We’ve been at the top of customer scorecards throughout 2025 because of our operational excellence, and we were honored to be recognized with customer awards like:
