Two J.B. Hunt Leaders Recognized as Top Women to Watch

jbh employees named top women to watch

This year, for the first time, we have two recipients receiving the recognition of Top Women to Watch in Transportation for 2024.

Christina Denvit has been a valued employee at J.B. Hunt for more than 25 years and was named as the first senior director of operations in our Dedicated Contract Services® business unit, the role she continues to hold. One of Christina’s many strengths is empowering women around her. She’s challenged leadership to look for new ways to attract and promote women within the company, giving them more opportunities to grow in their careers.

Sydney Emrich is a senior manager in Customer Experience. Sydney quickly jumped in and immersed herself in the culture of J.B. Hunt. She helped create the first Career Connection Group, which helps new hires acclimate to J.B. Hunt. She’s also partnered with the University of Arkansas’s Women Impacting Supply Chain Excellence (WISE) and hosted the first WISE Future Leaders Symposium in 2023. Sydney is not only empowering those around her at work, but also helping to invest in the future.

At J.B. Hunt, we're investing in inclusivity

These two women aren’t the first at J.B. Hunt to be recognized. We’ve had at least one employee named to the Women in Trucking Top Women to Watch in Transportation list every year since 2019. Previous recipients include:

  • 2019 Tami Allensworth, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience

  • 2020 Rachel Christensen, Vice President of Operations

  • 2021 Jessica Brooks, Senior Vice President of Human Resources

  • 2022 Lindsay Goodman, Vice President of Sales

  • 2023 Tori Longan, Senior Director, Sales

These recognitions are a testament to everything we strive to achieve here at J.B. Hunt – we invest in our employees so they can grow and advance their careers and set the standard for the logistics industry.

Fueling a Culture of Inclusion

Through the work of the Inclusion Council, we’re finding ways to give everyone at J.B. Hunt a voice and ensure that our culture creates an inclusive and exceptional experience.

We have six employee resource groups (ERGs) that were created to invite J.B. Hunt employees to share their ideas and foster their interests. Our employee resource groups are open to all employees and are designed to offer our people opportunities to grow their professional network, give back to the community and enhance their work experience.

Our Inclusion Office implements processes and practices that help us create a space where all people feel welcomed, valued, respected, safe and heard. J.B. Hunt will continue to invest in and nurture this space for future generations to come.
