Intermodal
Intermodal shipping moves freight by two or more modes of transportation, usually from a train to a tractor (or vice versa). J.B. Hunt offers sustainable, cost-effective intermodal service across North America, with options for service-sensitive freight.
Truckload
Truckload shipments carry trailers containing freight from a single shipper. J.B. Hunt offers truckload service using either company-owned trailers driven by independent contractors or vetted third-party carriers.
Less-than-Truckload (LTL)
LTL service combines freight from various shippers into one trailer, typically used to ship freight weighing between 100 and 20,000 pounds. J.B. Hunt offers LTL shipping through vetted third-party carriers.
Dedicated Contract Services® (DCS)
DCS is a J.B. Hunt business unit that dedicates employees and equipment to a specific customer’s transportation and logistical needs. This business unit handles fleet management, private fleet conversion and dedicated fleet replacement.
Final Mile Services® (FMS)
FMS is a J.B. Hunt business unit offering first-, middle-, and last-mile delivery service for heavy or bulky merchandise from docks and warehouses to distribution centers, showrooms, jobsites or an end consumer, including in-home installation.
International
J.B. Hunt international services ship freight by road and rail between Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. We also offer related services including direct drayage, transloading, warehousing and shipping to Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Alaska, the Dominican Republic and Guam.
Managed Logistics
J.B. Hunt’s Managed Logistics service uses multiple modes of transportation to manage some or all of a customer’s transportation needs. Our service is customizable for businesses of any size, budget or industry.
Brokerage
J.B. Hunt brokerage services arrange freight shipments for customers using vetted third-party carriers. Specialized freight brokerage services include expedited and cross-border shipping, flatbed, temperature-controlled, hazmat and tanker, light commercial vehicles and trade show support.
