Flexible Transportation Solutions
Part of getting to know your business is getting to know how your freight can fluctuate from season to season and leveraging our trucks and drivers ahead of time to meet your needs. For our customer, a leading online furniture retailer, that means being able to engage with customers during key sales events and operate on tight timelines.
Three to four weeks before a nationwide sale event, our customer provides us with a forecast of how many additional drivers they might need for inbound pickups. As the sale dates approach, we will stay in contact and update the driver count with refined projections. This proactive approach allows us to plan and allocate resources efficiently, ensuring that we are fully prepared to meet your needs.
For this customer, we were able to meet their needs by increasing their driver count based on where they needed it most. In one region, that meant a 75% increase, and in another region, that meant increasing their driver count by more than 200%. Because of our density throughout the country, we can often leverage Intermodal and additional Dedicated drivers when customer demand is high, quickly scaling up to meet their increased fright needs.
