Rail Gate Closures Disrupt Intermodal Service

BNSF has announced ingate closures for all shipments at select intermodal facilities effective Friday, Sept. 16, at 00:01 local time. The ingate closures will occur at BNSF’s Corwith (Chicago), Cicero (Chicago), Memphis and Seattle ramps. During the ingate closures, terminals will remain open for the outgate of deliveries. J.B. Hunt will continue to make intermodal pickups and ingate at the affected BNSF terminals through Thursday night.

As a reminder, Norfolk Southern has announced an ingate closure for all intermodal ramps and shipments effective at 17:00 local time today (Sept. 14). During this ingate closure, terminals will remain open for the outgate of deliveries. J.B. Hunt will continue to make intermodal pickups and ingate Norfolk Southern terminals through Wednesday afternoon.
