Rail Gate Closures and Restrictions Disrupt Intermodal Service
On Sunday, June 26, a non-intermodal train derailed on the Wabash River bridge in Mount Carmel, Ill. Due to the bridge outage, the NS has closed its gates in St. Louis and Kansas City, Mo., for shipments destined for Atlanta/Austell, Ga., and Jacksonville, Fla. In addition, the NS has closed its gates in Atlanta/Austell, Ga., and Jacksonville, Fla., for shipments destined for St. Louis and Kansas City, Mo. Current estimates indicate that the bridge will be out of service for a minimum of one week. Below is a summary of current rail gate closures and restrictions impacting J.B. Hunt and its customers.
