The rail network continues to work through ongoing ramp congestion, labor challenges and car imbalances. With progress at its Chicago/63rd Street, IL ramp, NS has lifted all gate restrictions to Toledo, OH and Buffalo, NY. However, effective immediately, NS has implemented new gate restrictions from its Chicago/47th Steet ramp to all destinations. Although J.B. Hunt has resumed the pickup and ingate of shipments originating at NS terminals destined to the Croxton, NJ ramp, rail gate restrictions to Croxton remain in place. Below is a summary of current rail gate restrictions impacting J.B. Hunt and its customers.
Current gate restrictions - Standard traffic will be impacted in these lanes:
- NS Chicago/47th Street, IL to all destinations
- All NS origin points to Croxton, NJ
Customers can help improve network fluidity by accepting deliveries within 24 hours of deramp and unloading dropped containers within 24 hours of arrival.
