Rail Gate Restrictions Disrupt Intermodal Service

The rail network continues to work through ongoing ramp congestion, labor challenges and car imbalances. With progress in Southern California, BNSF has lifted all gate restrictions at its Los Angeles/Hobart, CA ramp.

Considering the ongoing rail velocity slowdown and customer unloading challenges, J.B. Hunt expects container availability will remain extremely constrained throughout the country. Customers can help improve container availability by accepting deliveries within 24 hours of deramp and unloading dropped containers within 24 hours of arrival.
