Business Continuity Plan
J. B. Hunt's executive management team recognizes the relatively low probability of severe damage to key facilities or systems due to natural or man-made disasters; however, because of the potential impact to J. B. Hunt, a Business Continuity of Operations plan has been developed. This continuity of operations plan is routinely reviewed and updated and tests are conducted to mitigate the risk of damage from a disaster or other event resulting in an interruption of business services. J. B. Hunt's Continuity of Business Operations Plan is designed to reduce the risk to an acceptable level by ensuring the restoration of certain facilities and critical IT processing.
The Plan identifies J. B. Hunt's critical business functions and provides detailed steps for operations during a disaster recovery mode. The Plan provides guidelines for ensuring that needed personnel and resources are available for both continuity plan preparation and response and that the proper steps will be carried out to permit the timely restoration of services and/or relocation of personnel to alternate facilities. Finally, the Plan specifies the responsibilities of the Continuity of Operations Team, whose mission is to establish company level procedures to ensure the continuity of J. B. Hunt's critical business functions. In the event of an emergency affecting any of the critical areas, the Business Continuity Office will serve as the liaison between the functional area(s) affected and other company organizations providing major services.
