Following delivery, carriers should send an invoice, signed bill of lading (BoL), and any other load-specific documents directly to J.B. Hunt. To expedite processing and payment we highly recommend electronic submission of all documents. There are five options for submitting payment documentation:

Your payment timeline depends on the payment terms specified when you registered as a J.B. Hunt carrier. Standard payment terms are 21 days after receipt of all required
load paperwork. Get paid faster with our QuickPay terms – payments are usually processed within two (2) business days of receiving the load paperwork. Available payment methods include direct deposit or hard copy check.

If a driver is detained at either a shipper or receiver's facility, J.B. Hunt requires the following procedure for recording detention time for payment:
Notify the J.B. Hunt Detention Department within TWO (2) hours of the scheduled pickup or delivery appointment time to report the delay.
When the delay ends, call or email the J.B. Hunt Detention Department with the departure time.
Record arrival and departure times on the Bill of Lading (BoL).
Read your entire Carrier Load Confirmation for every load. If there are detention requirements listed in the COMMENTS section of the Load Confirmation, they supersede the procedures listed here
If you are on a J.B. Hunt load requiring a lumper service to load or unload the trailer, make sure you have your J.B. Hunt load number and call 1-800-UNLOAD1. Our freight handling specialists will pay the lumper service directly.DO NOT pay out of pocket or use a cash advance to pay for loading or unloading – you WILL NOT be reimbursed for lumper payments.
