Our IT Internship Program offers students the opportunity to extend their classroom
education while gaining year-round, hands-on experience. The program focuses on the
integration of classroom and applied learning, and it's a good step toward full-time
employment.
| Build, configure and install workstations to meet end user needs. |
| Become acquainted with Windows XP operating system and command line, Microsoft Office application software, communications software such as 3270 emulation and email clients, DB2 database platform, and TCP/IP and SNA networking protocols. |
| Develop applications using programming languages such as Java, C#, .NET, COBOL, and VB Script. |
| Provide second level support for all network related problems, including SNA, IP, LAN, and WAN networks. |
| Develop automated installations of software for the PC environment. |
| Many other possible responsibilities dependant upon position. |
| Be enrolled (or have just completed) a course of study in information technology at an accredited university or junior college. |
| Have an overall cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 with a 3.0 or higher in major. |
| Proof of GPA must be presented at hire and provided at the end of each semester. |
| Be available to work at least 20 hours per week while carrying a normal complement of classes (12 hours). |
