Truck Driver Job Description

J.B. Hunt's Independent Contractor Group offers truck owners a traditional Rate per Mile plan. The mileage-based option starts with a base rate of .90 cpm, plus fuel surcharge, for all loaded miles and 60 cpm, plus fuel surcharge, for empty miles. The fuel surcharge is adjusted weekly and based on the DOE average. In addition to mileage, this plan offers:
 

• Accessorial and short-haul rates
• Weekly settlement with fuel deducted
• Paid base plates and permits
• 24-hour road service
• Company-issued toll cards and EZ pass
• Discounted parts, tires, and maintenance through our nationwide shops/vendors
• Voluntary maintenance escrow

We can also connect owner-operators with a voluntary health program offering single or family coverage at affordable group rates.
