Owner Operator Driver Jobs Orientation

Orientation is held weekly for owner operator drivers and generally lasts four days. You'll receive $75 per day (per truck) for completing orientation plus a cents per mile rate for bobtailing from home to our terminal, which is paid on your first settlement. To help bridge the gap until your first settlement, we can issue an advance of up to $100 following orientation. J.B. Hunt also provides lodging and lunch each day of class. At orientation, you can expect to complete all leasing paperwork, truck inspection along with briefings of J.B. Hunt's company policies, communication protocol and safety standards.

Orientation for owner-operators is held weekly at the Atlanta, Dallas and Louisville Service Centers.

As a reminder, you'll be dispatched following orientation, so we ask you to bring the following items:

• Valid class A CDL, issued by your state of residence

• Copy of truck title application (front and back) with your name listed

• Current 2290, paid

• Bill of sale document showing date of sale and total purchase price

• Current DOT medical card (J.B. Hunt will provide a new physical)

• Voided check or bank-issued document with account/routing numbers (for direct deposit)

• Social security numbers and birth dates for dependents to be covered by voluntary health coverage

• Personal items and money for meals/personal expenses until first settlement
