A grip on a
bright future.

Orientation is held weekly for company drivers, and you will be compensated for completing J.B. Hunt's orientation. Pay varies by location as determined by each state's minimum hourly wage. You'll be paid upon completion of class or on your first week's payroll.

You'll most likely be dispatched following orientation, so be sure to bring any items you'll need on the truck as well as the following:
  •
Valid class A or B CDL from your state of residence

Current DOT medical card (J.B. Hunt will provide you with a new one)

Two forms of identification as required by the I9 form

Proper footwear and attire for your road-driving test

Social security numbers and birth dates for dependents to be covered by health benefits

Voided check or bank-authorized document containing bank routing and account numbers (if enrolling in direct-deposited payroll)

Funds to cover personal expenses while attending orientation and until the first payroll cycle
In most locations, we have arranged for cab services or a hotel shuttle to drive you from the airport or bus terminal to your lodging. If you coordinate your own travel, go straight to J.B. Hunt's specified hotel and check in. All drivers receiving lodging may meet in the hotel lobby each morning for a shuttle to the J.B. Hunt Service Center.

Most hotels offer guests a continental breakfast, and J.B. Hunt will provide midday meals each day of class. In most instances, you'll furnish your own evening meals, so be sure to plan for this expenditure each day of your stay. You may call our after-hours Driver Orientation Hotline at 1-800-2JB-HUNT (1-800-252-4868) for additional details, start times and directions. Hotel accommodations are generally double-occupancy but can be upgraded to a private room for a reasonable daily charge.

J.B. Hunt makes every attempt to have all background checks completed prior to orientation. You can help us by completing a verification release, authorizing us to perform pre-employment inquiries. You may complete this form online. The sooner we receive your release, the sooner we can complete your pre-employment screening.

From pay and benefits to equipment and time off, J.B. Hunt offers an all-inclusive program for company drivers. And we back it up with the stability of an industry leader. Again, we look forward to demonstrating this commitment and welcoming you in person to orientation. If you have questions in the meantime, please call Driver Personnel at 1-800-2JB-HUNT (1-800-252-4868). It's our goal to make to the transition to J.B. Hunt easy for you.
